ACCESSIBILITY
Accessibility statement
WebSentinel.eu is built so that everyone can read it and use it, whatever device, assistive technology or input method they rely on. This statement sets out the standard we work to, what we have already done, the limitations we know about, and how to tell us when something gets in your way.

Our commitment
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA across this website. WCAG 2.1 AA is the level most widely referenced in European and national accessibility requirements, and we treat it as a baseline to build on. Accessibility is part of how we build the site from the start.
What we have done
The site is built on semantic HTML, so headings, lists, landmarks and links carry their meaning to assistive technology and not only to sighted readers. The steps we have taken include:
- Semantic, well-structured HTML with a logical heading order.
- A skip link so keyboard users can jump straight to the main content.
- Full keyboard navigation, with no part of the site reachable only by mouse.
- Visible focus indicators so you can always see where the keyboard is.
- Support for prefers-reduced-motion, so animation is disabled when you ask your device for reduced motion.
- Sufficient colour contrast between text and its background.
- No reliance on colour alone to convey meaning, with text labels alongside any colour we use to signal status or severity.
Fonts and readability
All fonts are self-hosted and served from our own origin, so the page renders consistently without calling out to any third party. Body text is set at a readable size, lines are kept to a comfortable length, and spacing is chosen for legibility. Text scales when you increase the size in your browser, and the layout reflows to fit.
Known limitations
We test as we build, but no statement of conformance can promise that every page is free of every barrier. If you find something that gets in your way, we want to hear about it. Reports from people who use the site with assistive technology are the most useful information we can get, and we treat them as a priority.
Reporting a problem
If any part of this site is hard to use, or stops you doing what you came to do, please tell us through our contact page. Describe the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you were using, and we will look into it and come back to you.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is reviewed as the site changes. New pages and features are checked against the same standard before they go live, and we revisit existing pages as we learn more and as the guidelines develop. This is continuing work, and the reports we receive feed directly into it.
